POWERPLAY invites the viewer to question the value system of power and how it is interpreted within the American psyche. The exhibition confronts the dualities between natural and man-made energy, as well as being a part of a global community versus an ethnocentric one. The themes explored are alternative energy, science, space exploration, food, holistic practices, technology, spirituality, sexuality, wealth, beauty, ritual and human interaction. POWERPLAY is a sculpture of experiences curated by Molly Morgan Weiss and The City Firm.

Clad in scraps of Stone’s astro-psychedelic aesthetic, the neo-tribal clan of three will engage in ritualistic behaviors with paint blasters around a wooden structure as ‘Totem.’ From primal impulse to futuristic galactica, Xithinix Pangea speaks to notions of territory, belonging and clan within the collective psychic terrain of a ‘New Age’ artist economy. The performance will conclude with a music set by the thrash core ensemble Prayer Town inside of Matt Stone’s classroom sculpture installation. http://mattstoneart.com/ http://gopushpops.blogspot.com/ http://www.myspace.com/prayertownmusic
